Who We Are

East Atlanta Animal Clinic was established in 2002 by Dr. Andrea Dunnings. Our goal is to provide compassionate veterinary care for the community while using the most current technologies and procedures available. Over the years, EAAC has grown to a three-doctor practice. Our building expanded in 2013 and our practice continues to grow. However, we still think of ourselves as a family and our goal remains the same.

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and hard-working individual to join our team as a full-time or part-time veterinary client service representative.

About the Job

Working as a Client Services Representative at EAAC involves the following:

  • Providing a positive experience for clients and patients at all times
  • Conducting yourself in a confident and professional manner with clients and coworkers even when situations are stressful
  • Answering telephones and handling calls quickly, efficiently and in a professional and friendly manner using a multi-line system
  • Answering clients’ questions about basic animal care, prevention and routine procedures
  • Maintaining a proper appointment schedule, screening emergencies and prioritizing cases that need to be seen
  • Admitting patients and handling medical records with precision
  • Discussing costs and fees in a positive light while supporting hospital payment policies
  • Handling payment transactions accurately
  • Receiving and relaying phone, fax, and email messages accurately and promptly
  • Keeping the front desk and lobby clean, organized, professional and welcoming
  • Maintaining an organized alphabetical filing system
  • Performing many of the above tasks at the same time

Prerequisites for this job:

  • At least two years of experience as a veterinary receptionist
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Understanding of basic veterinary terminology and abbreviations (and how to spell them correctly
  • General computer knowledge, including understanding of MS Word, Excel, etc. (prior experience with AVImark preferred)
